About Queen's Theatre
This theatre was the first of London's theatres to become a casualty of war. It opened in 1907 but was not used from the time of being hit by a bomb in World War II until 1959. In its early days, a dance floor replaced the stalls when the tango was in vogue. Within a year, however, the theatre returned to producing live performances.
The theatre was designed to be a twin to the Globe Theatre.
Some productions which were done in Queen's Theatre include Stop the World-I Want to Get Off, Suite in Three Keys, Another Country, Beyond Reasonable Doubt, Hot Shoe Shuffle, and Master Class.
There are 979 seats on 3 levels at Queen's Theatre.
