About Phoenix Theatre

While the exterior of this theatre is rather dull and uninteresting to view, the use of mirrors on the interior help to create an art deco appearance.

This theatre, built in September of 1930 is highly devoted to the works of Noel Coward. In fact, his comedy Private Lives was the opening presentation then the theatre had its grand opening. Later, several of Coward's one-act plays were presented. In 1969, the foyer bar was renamed "The Noel Coward Bar". The theatre even had a special observation of Noel Coward's seventieth birthday anniversary.

Other productions at the Phoenix have included Blood Brothers, Night and Day, The Canterbury Tales and Are You Lonesome Tonight?

Seating is available for 1012 theatre guests.
