About Garrick Theatre
This is one of several London theatres to have a resident ghost. The ghost of a former tenant who leased a top floor flat directly off the stage is said to have tapped performers on the shoulder for good luck at times.
The theatre opened in April of 1889, having seating for 800 people. However, the top gallery level has since been closed so it now seats only 656.
Among unusual situations, one of the cats was named as a shareholder in this theatre.
Garrick has mostly been producing comedies and comedy-dramas. Among notable productions are An Inspector Calls and No Sex Please We're British.
