The pretty village of Litton Mill lies on the River Wye in the breathtaking Peak District National Park. The village is situated on the stunning 8.5 mile Monsal Trail and is a haven for walkers, cyclists and climbers. The trail has fantastic views of twin viaducts which formed part of the Midlands railway line. Just three miles away is the village of Tideswell which sits in the heart of the National Park. The village is famous for its magnificent church, known as 'The Cathedral of the Peak' and has many amenities including pubs, a chemist, butchers and bakers. The Peak District is a walker's paradise with the stunning rugged peaks to the north and the hills and dales to the south. Also nearby are Castleton, Buxton and Bakewell.

Litton Mill is a perfect base to explore the magnificent Peak District National Park.

The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

River View is a lovely, warm apartment. The owners are very helpful if you have a problem. 10 out of 10 for this accommodation.
Mr Philpott, Pontefract, West Yorkshire
September 2013

,The property is perfectly situated as there are numerous walks on the doorstep. We walked through Tideswell Dale to Tideswell for our daily supplies and then back each day. Absolutely stunning scenery. Would recommend this property for its position alone!
Mr Trow, Deeside, Flintshire
September 2013

,Cottage is in a perfect position, right on the river, spent many a time watching trout whilst dogs were swimming. You can walk to Monsal Head, Hassop and Bakewell along the Monsal Trail which is just opposite cottage. The walk into the nearby village Tideswell is gorgeous through the Tideswell Dale. Also 20 minutes drive to Chatsworth. Helpful owner, he never intrudes but assists straight away if there is any problem. Cottage was well equipped with a really comfy bed. Have been twice now and will go again. Love it!
Mrs Lewis, Blackburn, Lancashire
April 2013

,Fantastic location for walking. Great set up in the kitchen for all cooking, lovely bath and nice decor. Great location mainly and good ease for coming and going.
Ms Curry, Southampton, Hampshire
February 2013
