Ashford in the Water is a quaint Derbyshire village situated in the White Peak. Home to the most photographed bridge in Britain which crosses the River Wye it boasts two pubs a pretty church tea room village store and delicatessen and plenty of charming cottages. If you re looking to soak up a bit of history during your stay historic Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are only a short drive away. The cottage is approached via the pretty walled front garden which leads into the cosy sitting room. With a beamed ceiling original gritstone fireplace with cast iron gas stove an exposed stone wall and even a charming window seat this is the perfect space in which to relax after a long day s walking or cycling. At the rear of the cottage is the kitchen dining room which features a slate floor cream units a farmhouse style dresser and small kitchen table. With a vaulted ceiling and door leading out to the yard this is a light and airy room for cooking and enjoying your meals.
