Former home of the Dukes of Newcastle, the house was demolished in 1938. Some features remain including Hardwick village and the Gothic Revival Chapel. The walled kitchen garden contains the longest glasshouses in National Trust ownership.It also affords a wide expanse of woods, parkland and open heath.
