National Theatre dorfman (formerly the Cottesloe Theatre)
Opened in 1976, the National Theatre forms part of the arts centre on the South Bank, and is home to the National Theatre Company. With three theatres (Lyttelton, Olivier, & Dorfman) in the one complex the Company is able to offer a diverse repertoire whilst not compromising its standards of excellence.
The Dorfman Theatre (formerly the Cottesloe Theatre) has been redeveloped, with a greater capacity, more comfortable seats, better sight-lines and enlarged foyer spaces. It is the smallest, the barest and the most potentially flexible of the National Theatre houses.
