We are a vibrant amateur theatre company run by members we put on a programmme of seven plays each year, running from Saturday to Saturday generally excluding Sunday and we put on extra nights for charities and parties. Sunday matinees on Forge theatre productions.

Our theatre has two auditoria the Main theatre, a traditional procenium stage with auditorium seating 160 and The Forge Theatre a more intimate space seating 60 people

We run theatre workships and have a Youth group for people interested in training in theatre. Members also provide touring productions such as Murder Mysteries and small cast productions at outside venues. Our newly furbished bar area will provide us with a third acting space.

The theatre is situated a quarter of a mile west of town centre. It is asy to get to from bus and train stations and we have a small car park available.

Membership is £12 adult, £20 joint and £6 for Senior Citizens and Youth
per year. Members night is Monday from 7.30. Rehearsal nights are variable.

Our Patron is Sir Ian McKellen. We are a Member of The Bolton Amateur Theatre Societies, The Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain and The Greater Manchester Drama Federation.

You can book at Bolton Little Theatre box office in person or by telephone on Monday night from 7.30 to 9pm and Friday mornings from 10.30 to 12 noon - no extra charge if paying by cash or cheque and you can book during the interval of the plays at the theatre. There are no extra charges if you pay by cash or cheque (we cannot currently accept credit cards but we are working on it!)

You can book on line at or through our own website - credit card charges will apply. Tickets can be e-tickets (no charge) mobile phone ticket (50p) standard post (£1.50)

You can book by phone to or agent TicketSource on 0333 666 3366 agency fee £1.50 and credit card charges will apply. The TicketSource fee levels have to cover the credit/debit card provider charges that they incur with each card transaction, as well as their website provision, staffing costs and general overheads. We feel that it is not fair to include this in the price of the ticket as those who pay direct to us in cash or cheque do not incur this cost. It is open Monday to Friday 9am - 7pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm This fee includes ticket delivery and tickets will be sent by post up until 96 hours prior to an event. After this time, customers can choose to receive their tickets by e-ticket or mobile phone text message.

Charities and local businesses regularly book nights at the theatre as fundraisers or as a 'thankyou' to their staff or volunteers. Such events are becoming more frequent with 7 nights being booked in season 74.
