Kelham Island Museum
The story of Sheffield - it's industry, people and life. Attractions include the mighty River Don Steam engine, probably the largest working steam engine in Europe. See the working "Little Mester" craftsmen exhibiting traditional 'Made in Sheffield' skills, visit the Victorians in Sheffield to find out what life was like in this period of dramtic change including the Sheffield Flood, and for younger children the "Melting Shop" combines play and learning in a specially designed environment.

Museum cafe open from 11am selling hot and cold drinks, light snacks, crisps, chocolate and ice creams
Plenty of on-site parking available free of charge for all museum patrons. Coach parking also available on site but telephone before visit to ensure availability
All children warmly welcomed - those under 5 are admitted free! The "Melting Shop" interactive experience has been designed especially for younger children (10 and under) where they can 'clock on' to enjoy being melted, rolled and hammered!
Disabled access to most areas of the museum - toilet facilities included
