Wagtails
Birds Place Farm is a 17th century farmhouse, nestling in the River Bure Valley, in the peaceful village of Buxton, in the beautiful Norfolk Broadland Countryside.
Our converted stables in the old stable yard are all on the ground floor, making it ideal for the less mobile.
Wagtails has a double bed and en-suite bathroom (with a shower over the bath).
There is a laundry room, with washing machine, iron, and ironing board.
Also a freezer, if the freezer box in the kitchen is not big enough.
Open plan kitchen / sitting / dining room attractively furnished with comfortable seating, TV with freeview, DVD player, well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, fridge with ice box and microwave.
All bed linen and towels are provided and all rooms are centrally heated. Between 1st October and 30th April there is a £20.00 charge per week for the heating, which is payable to the owner separately with your final balance payment
There is a large laundry room with very good facilities for drying outdoor clothing and boots, with washing machine, sink and ironing facilities, shared with Swallows. We have storage for cycles, and cycles for hire if needed.
We welcome walkers and cyclists as there are many miles of quiet lanes and public footpaths to explore in the area.
Buxton has a village shop and off licence, the Black Lion Pub, a Fish and Chip Shop, Post Office, and Hairdressers.
The Bure Valley Steam Railway is the countries longest narrow gauge railway, running from the historic market town of Aylsham, stopping at Buxton, and continuing on to Wroxham the capital of the Broads, with its 125 miles of navigatable waterways, and Roys of Wroxham, the largest village store in the world.
We are ideally situated for bird watching from Holkam along the coast to the salt marshes of Cley, to our local rivers and broads.
We have good fishing nearby on the river Bure, plus many quality still water lakes.
With over 75 miles of coastline, Norfolk's golden sandy beaches are some of the finest in the country. With Holkam beach voted one of the best in the country.
We also usually have the driest, warmest, and sunniest weather in the country.
At Birds Place Farm we pride ourselves in offering our guests something special. On arrival you are welcomed with tea and home-made cake.
We are 4 Star Quality in Tourism, and we maintain high standards with the day to day running of our holiday accommodation, ensuring a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy your stay. To view Swallows please click on the link on this advert.
