Potting Shed, The
Set on the lower slopes of the Quantock Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, along narrow winding lanes but only 10 minutes from Junction 24 of the M5, the Potting Shed at Sherwood is a great place to relax but also makes a wonderful base from which to explore the whole of Somerset and some of the attractions of the surrounding counties.
The Potting Shed is the quirkiest of the cottages at Sherwood and sleeps 4 comfortably in two bedrooms* with the option of 1or 2 extra on a sofa bed.
The Potting Shed stands near to the old dovecot and on one side has its own sheltered walled garden from which there are gates to the rose garden and the vegetable garden.
On the ground floor the Potting Shed has an open-plan kitchen/dining area, double bedroom, bathroom with over bath shower plus a second loo. There is a small sitting-room with a sofa-bed and French doors which open on to a sunny secluded south-east facing corner of the main garden (a good place to enjoy a barbecue).
Stairs from the sitting-room lead directly up to a *galleried twin bedroom in which there is room for a further small bed if requested.
This cottage can be linked to the Brew House via an interconnecting door.
