Rattys Retreat
Ratty's Retreat is a one bedroom cottage situated on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the village of Candlesby.
Seven miles away is Skegness offering all the amenities of the seaside, while a few miles inland you can explore the Lincolnshire Wolds with the historic market towns of Horncastle (famous for its antiques) and Louth. The city of Lincoln with its magnificant cathedral and castle are only 35 miles away. Daily buses run every hour from the village to both Skegness and Lincoln. Gunby Hall, a National Trust Property is a mile from the cottage.
The property offers 1 double bedroom with the option of an extra single bed, lounge, kitchen, bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. There is full gas central heating with a wood burner in the lounge for cosy nights during the winter months. French doors lead onto a small patio/garden.
The Royal Oak Public House is within walking distance offering food at reasonable prices. Spilsby is the nearest town (4 miles) with a variety of shops and a large supermarket.
The owners property incorporates a 2 acre coarse fishing lake. Fishing is included in the price. Due to deep waters we regret that we cannot offer the cottage to anyone with children under the age of 14.
