The owner, whose property is situated underneath the cottage, offers free salmon and trout fishing with tackle hire and tuition by arrangement. Best time for salmon is July, August and September. Excellent walking possibilities are available along the Cateran Trail which meanders through glens, hills and farmland. Nearby Pitlochery offers a festival, theatre, distillery, fine dining, fish ladder and Blair Castle, ancient home to the Atholl Highlanders, to explore. Royal Deeside and Balmoral are an easy drive. Excellent golf courses within 30 minutes. Shop and pub serving food 6 miles.
