Durham city has a timeless quality with the Heritage Site of Durham Cathedral, its castle and university, as well as rowing on the River Wear and riverside walks, boutiques and cafés. Within half an hour’s drive you can explore the city of Newcastle, Beamish Open Air Museum or enjoy exploring the Durham Dales. Shop and pub serving food within 2 miles.
