The attractive Pennine town of Hebden Bridge is located within the Calderdale area and is home to the picturesque Rochdale canal and delightful Victorian railway station. With the National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way close by, this region is a wonderful place for both walkers and cyclists. Alternatively, visitors can enjoy a scenic ride over the moors to Haworth, home to the Parsonage Museum that commemorates the famous Bronte family who lived there. Steam railway enthusiasts will enjoy the thriving Worth Valley Railway, and the highly acclaimed Eureka Museum is in Halifax - noted for its unique Piece Hall and Victorian architecture. Skipton, sometimes called the 'Gateway to the Dales', is an easy and scenic car rideaway.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

A cottage that oozes character. Tastefully decorated with charming details and luxury elements. Good position close to the town and the local beauty spot of Hardcastle Craggs with the Moors and Bronte country a short drive away. Everything is provided in this delightful cottage to make the holiday extra special.
Mrs Harris, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear
October 2013
