At nearby Killala you can buy fresh fish in the evenings. This area has an abundance of historic sites - Ceide fields, Downpatrick Head, megalithic tombs, stone circles, all waiting to be explored. It is a quiet area so walking and cycling are highly recommended. The sandy beaches are vast and largely unpopulated.
