Stoneleigh Village itself occupies a beautiful elevated position and sits charmingly between the delightful Regency town of Sidmouth and the picturesque harbour of Lyme Regis; ideally situated for holidaymakers to enjoy the perfect entirety of what the area has to offer. Sidmouth's shingly bay is surrounded by dramatic red cliffs whilst the town itself offers a variety of charming old buildings, affectionately earning the title of "Regency Town by the Sea". In fact the town boasts in the region of 500 listed buildings. For something a little different then, visitors are invited to the Norman Lockyer Observatory, perched on top of Salcombe Hill. Open to the public at least twice a month, there are a variety of events organised by the enthusiastic volunteers. Stoneleigh Village sits adjacent to Devon’s famous Donkey Sanctuary, a recognised tourist attraction, and can be found within walking distance of their main headquarters at Slade House.
