HIDDEN AWAY COTTAGE WITH ESTUARY GLIMPSES This cosy cottage is literally tucked away in one of Appledore s narrow pedestrianised streets yet is a short stroll to the busy quayside with its variety of small shops galleries pubs and restaurants. The maritime museum is well worth a visit as it highlights the towns long history of seafarers and shipbuilding each room depicting a different aspect of life at sea. Thrill seekers can find plenty to do nearby whether it be surfing or body boarding on the golden sands at Westward Ho! Or having a go at kayaking abseiling or archery at Skern Lodge Activity centre based in Appledore and where activity days can be arranged. Alternatively if it is peace and quiet you are looking for then why not just meander through the little streets or gaze out over the estuary and watch the boats bobbing or toss a line into the river and try and catch a few crabs. Whatever you decide to do Appledore is a great place for a family holiday or short break away from it all. The comfortable cottage offers THREE bedrooms: accessed via a steep staircase 1 double bedroom with glimpses of the estuary. 1 smaller room with guest bed (single with additional single stored underneath) which can accommodate a couple or two singles and a further single room. Bathroom: with bath and shower attachment separate shower WC and heated towel rail. Lounge: with wooden floors comfy sofas TV with Freeview DVD and hi-fi. Feature stone fireplace with cosy coal effect gas fire. Dining room: step up from lounge. Kitchen: step up from dining area with electric oven gas hob fridge freezer dishwasher and many useful extras. Regret no washing machine. Outside: door from kitchen opens out onto a shared cobbled area and a narrow path with steps (care required) leads to an enclosed decked area with garden furniture ideal for relaxing or enjoying a BBQ and catches the sun almost all day. Amenities: roadside parking nearby. Bed linen electric central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no pets or smoking. Location: beach 2 miles shops pubs and quayside all a short stroll.
