A beautiful 19th Century stone barn annexe adjacent to the owner's 17th Century house providing delightful accommodation for two couples or a family. A very tastefully decorated and refurbished cottage retaining many of the original features including exposed beams and Inglenook fireplace.
LOCATION An idyllic position in the tiny settlement of Cumery, just 3 miles from Bigbury and 6 miles from Kingsbridge. The coast at Bigbury, Bantham and beyond is just a short 10 minute drive away.
VIEWS Within a few yards you can enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery in the South Hams with country views surrounding the entire settlement.
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM A Jack and Jill style entrance from the lounge into a lovely kitchen (and then out to the lower bedroom) which has Shaker units, an electric cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge (with freezer compartment) and pine table with 4 chairs. Patio doors out to the rear courtyard.
SITTING ROOM The main hallway leads into an extremely cosy lounge with double sofa, chairs and a feature wood burning stove set in an Inglenook fireplace (not in use). TV with Freeview, DVD, and CD hi-fi system and the room features original low wooden beams and has windows out to the courtyard and terrace at the rear.
BEDROOMS The kitchen leads into a double bedroom with double bed, antique pine wardrobe and drawers. This room is also full of character with lovely high ceiling beams and window overlooking a cobbled area. Mainly tiled en suite shower room with electric shower, w.c., wash-hand basin and units. Wooden stairs from the hallway take you up to the second bedroom with lovely views over the terrace. Twin 3' beds (which can be zipped and linked to create a super king-size bed) wardrobe, drawers and a lovely hardwood flooring. En suite bathroom with panelled bath, w.c., wash-hand basin and airing cupboard. All duvets, pillows and bed linen are included but tenants will need to bring their own towels.
BATHROOMS Two - both En suite (see above).
OUTSIDE Enclosed courtyard steps up to rear terrace with garden furniture and barbeque. Further terrace and summer house with far reaching views.
PARKING Parking for 1 - 2 cars adjacent to the cottage.
OTHER INFORMATION The main door leads into a lobby area with open pine staircase up to the first floor whilst on the ground floor there is mainly carpet throughout. Oil fired central heating and hot water. Regret no children under 5 years.
