Copletts has retained many original features including wooden crossbeams and Inglenook fireplace and is a charming cottage from which to explore the South Hams coast and countryside. South Pool is one of the most scenic and picturesque villages in the region with its traditional pub and tidal creek offering access to Salcombe and Kingsbridge via the estuary. The enclosed South-facing patio area has a barbecue and garden furniture.
LOCATION South Pool, one of the South Hams' most scenic and popular villages, is quietly located on the Salcombe/Kingsbridge estuary surrounded by Devonshire lanes and rolling countryside - an ideal location for those looking to sample the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful environment. Superb beaches at East Portlemouth (approx. 3.5 miles), popular village pub with good food (100yds), with shop and bakery 1.5miles away at Frogmore.
ENTRANCE The cottage is accessed via a small yard area to the rear. A stone floored lobby leads into the sitting room.
SITTING ROOM A cosy sitting room with wood burner set in original inglenook fireplace. A three seater sofa, plus an additional two seater sofa, and tub chair provide comfortable seating for all guests. Flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD player, and CD/radio. Winding stairs lead up from sitting room to first floor bedrooms and bathroom.
KITCHEN/DINING ROOM The sitting room opens into a state-of-the-art kitchen with slate floor, solid oak hand built cupboard units, granite worktops, inset butlers sink, large electric range cooker, microwave, integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Dining table seating four.
BEDROOMS Two in total, both carpeted and with electric panel heaters. The main bedroom has a pine framed double bed, drawers and wardrobe. Fully tiled en suite bathroom with bath, w.c., wash-hand basin and heated towel rail. The second bedroom has two single beds, bedside unit and drawers. N.B. All duvets, linen and towels (except those for the beach) are provided.
BATHROOMS In addition to the en suite (above) is a shower room on the ground floor with shower, basins, w.c. and heated towel rail.
OUTSIDE A sunny, South-facing enclosed patio area with table, chairs and Barbecue.
PARKING *On-road parking usually available close by.
OTHER INFORMATION Electric heating with hot water via immersion heater. Strictly no smoking or pets permitted. Please note that mobile phone reception in the cottage is variable, although there is a good signal outside. Broadband available.
