Seascape, 38 Clarence Hill
Seascape is a well-equipped and comfortably furnished second floor apartment within a large Victorian house, just a short downhill walk to central Dartmouth and its array of restaurants, art galleries and boutiques. Ideally suited to a family of four or a couple, the accommodation is all on one level and boasts lovely views over the town and across the River Dart. There is a large garden, with a lower terrace ideal for enjoying a glass of something chilled or a barbecue.
LOCATION Situated in a quiet, mostly residential area towards the top of Clarence Hill in central Dartmouth. The town centre with its array of restaurants, art galleries and boutiques is a 5-7 minute downhill walk away (steep in places).
VIEWS Lovely views from the living room over the town to the hills beyond and down the River Dart from the garden.
ENTRANCE The shared entrance hallway has space for hanging hats and coats, and/or for storing buggies and pushchairs. Two flights of stairs (narrow towards the top) lead to the apartment and the garden, which, because the house is built into the hillside, is on the same level.
KITCHEN A well equipped galley kitchen overlooks the garden and is fitted with a selection of modern appliances including electric oven, gas hob, washing machine, fridge and microwave.
SITTING/DINING ROOM A large and tastefully presented room with comfortable three piece suite, large dining with chairs, flatscreen TV with Freeview, sound system with CD/radio/iPod dock, DVD and video player (a selection of DVDs, videos, books and games are provided). This room has beautiful countryside views across the valley.
BEDROOMS Two: The main bedroom is tastefully furnished with double bed, bedside cabinets, large wardrobe and drawers. En suite shower room with shower, wash-hand basin and w.c.. The second bedroom has full size bunk beds and wardrobe. N.B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels (excluding beach towels) are provided.
BATHROOM In addition to the en suite (above) is a family bathroom with bath, w.c. and vanity wash-hand basin.
OUTSIDE The large garden is laid out over several terraces and provides wonderful views along the river, out to sea and across to Kingswear. The lower patio is ideal for family meals and includes a barbeque and table and chairs. Nearer the top of the garden are further seating areas with excellent views down the river. A shed contains equipment for the beach.
PARKING There is room to park and unload outside the property and on-road parking is usually available in nearby Mount Boone (a 2-4 minute walk).
OTHER INFORMATION Seascape is mostly carpeted throughout, and has gas-fired central heating and hot water on demand. Strictly no smokers or pets are permitted.
