Nestling in the very rural tiny Cornish hamlet of Eastcott stands this large detached old cottage, which backs onto a small working farm and is set within its own quarter acre garden. The surrounding countryside is totally unspoilt, with pretty wooded lanes and natural grassland. A little way out of the village, there is a first class farm shop and the nearby village of Kilkhampton offers a good range of facilities, including a small supermarket, pubs and a fish and chip shop. The coast in this area is quite spectacular, boasting some of the highest cliffs in England, and there are marvellous scenic walks along the coastal path. Further, a number of golf courses and beaches are easily accessible and you can even enjoy riding at Gooseham Barton (1.5 miles). Eastcott Cottage is comfortably furnished, in keeping with the style and age of the property, and has a lovely restful atmosphere (a North wind does bring the occasional farmyard smell), which may lead one to imagine that Eastcott is still much the same now as it was over a hundred years ago.

Snug/living room with inglenook fireplace having canopy over open fire, sofa, armchairs and antique pine furniture. Second cosy living room with TV/DVD and VCR. Kitchen/diner with electric cooker, oil fired Rayburn and dining table to seat eight. Scullery/utility room with microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. Shower room with power shower, basin and WC. Fairly steep staircase up to first floor. Dual aspect double bedroom with 5ft king size bed. Twin bedroom with two 2ft 6in single beds. Further twin bedroom with two 2ft 6in single beds (can form double). Two single bedrooms, both with 3ft single beds. Bathroom with bath, basin and WC.

Outside:

Paved patio area with table and chairs. Quarter acre enclosed garden mainly laid to lawn with garden furniture.

Parking: Off road parking alongside the gateway at  the end of the short driveway for 3/4 cars. Narrow driveway (small cars only) with no turning area - reversing is necessary and difficult.
