UK Holiday Cottages

Brexworthy Farm overlooks the Tamar Lakes located on the Devon/Cornwall border and a few miles from the well known Cornish town of Bude. From these two delightful cottages there is much to do from enjoying stunning National Trust beaches on the Cornish coast, many offering excellent surfing; the superb facilities on the Tamar Lakes that are just below the cottages and offer hire of sailing dinghies, canoes, surf skiing, rowing boats and windsurfers, fishing permits for coarse fishing, together with plenty of lakeside walks, a cafe and picnic areas. Walking is superb on nearby Dartmoor and along the North Cornwall and Devon coastlines, all within easy distance.

If a more peaceful time is required, the farm, a 15 acre smallholding, keeps sheep, pigs and free range chickens. Both eggs and meat are available for purchase and the local village of Bradworthy has a pub and general stores.

The cottages, ideal for couples wanting to get away from it all, have been sympathetically renovated from farm buildings and retain much of their original charm. The two cottages are grouped around an attractive central courtyard garden alongside the farmhouse. Pets are most welcome with a dog exercise field provided.

A washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are available in the shared utility room.

Wagtail

This delightful detached hideaway for two is all on one level and has an open plan living room and its own private rear garden.  

Accommodation:

Path to front door. Hallway. Living room with a sofa and easy chair, Freeview TV, DVD, stereo/CD. The kitchen area has fitted pine units, electric cooker, fridge with freezer box and microwave.  Arch and step down to small dining room with table to seat two. Comfortable double bedroom, 4ft 6in bed and pine furniture. Adjacent shower room with electric shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Outside:
The communal courtyard in front of the cottage has a patio area with garden furniture. Wagtail has a private rear lawned garden with a bench (not enclosed) and bordered by hedges with fields beyond. Cycle store.

Parking: Ample.
