Slapton is a deservedly popular South Hams village with pretty thatched cottages, two good pubs, a village shop and all just half a mile from the outstandingly beautiful three mile stretch of shingle beach at Slapton Sands and the equally lovely freshwater Ley, now a National Nature Reserve, a haven for birdwatchers and walkers alike. Wren’s Nest is tucked in the heart of the village down a quiet private narrow lane that leads to just 3 cottages. The property is a conversion from a fine old barn, and is attached to a similar barn on one side. It is immaculate, delightfully furnished and decorated and provides very good, comfortable accommodation in a quiet position in this charming village.

Accommodation:

Glazed front door into hallway with stairs up to very spacious, light and bright attractive living room with polished wood floor. The sitting area with sofas, chairs, rugs, widescreen TV with Sky (including Sport Package), DVD, video and iPod dock faces a large picture window that overlooks the courtyard area below. At the other end of the room, lit with skylights, is a smart very well equipped, fitted kitchen with an electric Range cooker with double oven, microwave, fridge, separate freezer and dishwasher. Dining table with seating for 6. Off the hallway on ground level is a small utility area under the stairs with washing machine and dryer. A double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed and TV is alongside a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Two twin bedrooms, one with 3ft beds and the other with TV and 2ft 6in zip linked beds that combine to form a 5ft double. Shower room with separate shower, basin and WC.

Outside:

Directly in front of the cottage is a paved patio area divided from next door by a stone wall. Table and benches provided.

Parking: Designated spaces for 2 cars (or 1 large 4x4 or similar).
