Elistragh Cottage
On a secluded, elevated site with breathtaking views of the Kenmare Bay, this lovely farmhouse, renovated to a high standard, has a charm of its own. It is the perfect location to tour the Ring of Beara, Ring of Kerry and West Cork whilst enjoying the peace and quietness of the amazing nature surrounding us.
The cottage has 3 small bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single and sleeps 5-6 persons. The cottage is available all year starting each Saturday 4PM onwards, and of course, well-behaved dogs are more than welcome. The cottage is equipped with all the modern cons including microwave, oven, VCR and DVD.
Sitting quietly at the foot of the Healy Pass in the magnificent Caha Mountains, the pretty village of Lauragh enjoys some spectacular scenery and is a super base for a holiday. The village has a church, public house and a village shop. For a wider range of amenities, Kenmare is just 15 miles away, it proudly holds the title of ‘The Tidiest Town in Kerry’ and is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, Kenmare is home to the Dereen gardens, and has winding streets with fabulous restaurants, shops, galleries and interesting hostelries. The seaside village of Glengarriff has a majestic mountainous backdrop, which makes it an absolute paradise for photographers and artists. There are so many places of interest and many activities and attractions to keep the visitor busy in this wonderful part of Ireland.
