UK Car Registrations August 2013
Although August isn't meant to be a strong period in the UK car market, coming as it does immediately before a number plate change, registrations last month were in fact 10.9% up on the 2012 figure at 65,937 units. According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, which collates these figures, the run of year-on-year increases has now reached 18 months, very much in contrast to the general trend across Europe.
