Brooklands was the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation. From 1907 when it opened, to 1987 when the British aerospace factory closed, it was a world-renowned centre of engineering excellence. The museum opened in 1991 on 30 acres of the original 1907 motor racing circuit and features Brooklands racing cars and historic aircraft which include Sopwith Camel, Wellington bomber and harrier jump-jet was well as related historic buildings. Home also the John Cobb's 24 litre Napier-Railton. The ëRight Crowd' and ëFastest on Earth' exhibition in the restored motoring village tell the story of racing and record-breaking activities at the Brooklands Track from 1907.
