Piece Hall
Built by the merchants of Halifax in 1779 as a trading place for cloth this unique hall has over 300 rooms and now houses a museum, art galleries and antiques, books and other speciality shops. Friday and Saturday open market and flea market on Thursday. Features free weekend entertainment and a lively programme of exhibitions, workshops, activities and events. As featured in the film 'Brassed Off' and in the happy memories of thousands of visitors to the 'Heart of Halifax and Pride of its People'.
