Spread Eagle Hotel, The | Welcome to the oldest continually-licensed hotel in Scotland. With parts of the building dating from the time of Mary Queen of Scots, we offer spacious en-suite bedrooms, a cosy public bar with draught real ale, and a sun-trap beer garden to the rear of the building.All our rooms were completely renovated in 2006.Walking and cycling breaks are our speciality. Golf is available on 23 courses as part of the Freedom of the Fairways scheme, and there is also excellent fishing, horse-riding and other country pursuits in the wonderful scenery of the Borders. |  | The Spread Eagle Hotel is a cream-coloured building in the middle of the High Street in Jedburgh. The town is bypassed by the A68 which runs from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the south to the Edinburgh city bypass in the north.Turn off the A68 onto Exchange Street (the second junction leading into the town centre from either direction). Turn right at the junction with High Street, and you will find the hotel about 25 yards down the road on your left. |
