Originally Dunstane Villa, as it was first named, was the private residence of the Ross family, famous for their Edinburgh Castle Rock and other confectionery produced in Scotland. The bandstand in Princes Street gardens takes its name from the family. Our Edinburgh Hotel retains its Victorian architectural grandeur which, combined with an intimate country house atmosphere, ensures our guests leave with lasting memories of Dunstane. Crow step gables, archers' windows and ornate open fireplaces give Dunstane the atmosphere of a small castle.

The Skerries Restaurant in Edinburgh has a superb selection of dishes. The award-winning chef uses fresh ingredients, mostly from the waters around Orkney and Shetland.
This elegant Edinburgh restaurant has original features combined with a genuine Orcadian atmosphere. Although the focus is on seafood, there are many other dishes, including prime Orkney beef, lamb and vegetarian meals.
