Wait Until Dark - Show Information

The story of one blind woman's struggle against the criminal underworld

In a basement flat in Notting Hill, Susy, who is blind, is alone while her husband Sam is away on business.

When Sam innocently agrees to deliver a doll to a sick child he has no idea the series of events that have been set in motion.

When it goes missing the doll's secret heroin cargo is so valuable that three con-men will stop at nothing to get it.

However, they have not bargained on Susy's resilience and ingenuity as she tries to make sense of the strange happenings going on around her.

This classic thriller, with its nail-biting climax, was originally presented on Broadway in 1966. It was subsequently presented in London starring Honor Blackman where it ran for 2 years. The film version (1968) starred Audrey Hepburn as Susy, for which she was nominated for an Oscar. Frederick Knott also wrote Dial M For Murder, which has been presented all over the world and was made into a film by Alfred Hitchcock. Wait Until Dark was revived on Broadway in 1998 with Marisa Tomei as Susy and Quentin Tarantino as Roat.
