Interview Structure
The interview should follow a basic structure of:
- Introduction - relax the candidate
- Provide information about the company - briefly state its aims, intentions - you can expand on this if you are impressed with the candidate.
- Assess the Candidate - most important section, (see Asking Good Questions) question them on CV, let them sell themselves, why did they leave their last job.
- Describe the job - responsibilities/ development potential.
- Any questions - give them the initiative and opportunity to add anything they think relevant.
- Close the interview - indicate when they will hear your decision.
