Today the town still can be quickly related back to it's history through the buildings that make up the town and the memorials to the past citizens. The town has been able to use its wealth gained from agricultural activity to set the ground for a prosperous growing town today.
People in the town are hardworking, with many being self employed. There is something for everyone in Wisbech. By day there are numerous shops to visit and many places to grab a bite to eat. In the evening the town is home to almost 50 public houses leaving you spoilt for choice on location and also for beer with the local brewery still producing a wide variety of ales. There are two theatres that display fine performances from not only local acts but from those up and down the country including Jo Brand.
There is a strong community feel between the residents of the town with many different societies and sports clubs available to get to know one another. There is a good public transport service that will take you to most places in East Anglia and provides good links to the local rail stations.
