Invercauld Arms, The,Ballater Information
The impressive baronial style of the Invercauld Arms dates back as far as 1645 when it was built as a coaching inn. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Grampian Mountains the Invercauls Arms is ideally located for golfing, fishing, walking and exploring Scottish Highlands. Scotland’s Premier Ski resort of Glenshee is only 9 miles away and the Lecht Ski Resort is 15 miles away making the hotel the ideal base all year round. Our Castle view Restaurant with its impressive windows and wood panelling adds to the character of the hotel and makes for an informal dining experience with us. The Rebel Lounge comes alive most evenings with our talented entertainers offering a relaxed style of entertainment for you to enjoy. In the winter months there is a traditional coal and log fire burning in the front lounge providing a warm welcome for weary travellers. The intimate atmosphere of our Slante Bar provides a very cosy and relaxed setting for unwinding at the end of the day. The hotel is ideal for those looking to partake in outdoor activities, explore the Highlands or just relax and enjoy the unrivalled world famous Scottish hospitality. Braemar itself is a small but very picturesque village located in the Scottish Highlands about 15 miles outside Ballater, with the Cairngorms National Park nearby.
