Glyn Peris Guest House is ideally located for Mount Snowdon and the surrounding mountains and coast. Glyn Peris specialises in catering for walkers, ramblers, cyclists and climbers as well as those who simply want to explore the stunning Snowdonia National Park. We are just five minutes drive to the start of the Llanberis Path, 15 minutes drive to the start of the Pyg Track/Miners Track/ Snowdon Horseshoe. Set in our own grounds, out of town, away from the hustle and bustle of Llanberis High Street, Glyn Peris has STORAGE FACILITIES for bikes/motor bikes etc, a DRYING ROOM for all wet kit and off street parking. Hearty breakfasts, pack lunches and FREE FLASK FILLING service set you up for your day out walking, climbing, scrambling or simply exploring Snowdonia. Then with contemporary décor, comfortable centrally heated bedrooms, modern bathrooms (all with showers) and a cosy guest lounge with log burning stove, you have everything you need to relax afterwards. PLEASE NOTE: Glyn Peris DOES NOT ACCEPT CARD PAYMENTS. Deposits are payable in advance by CHEQUE or BANK TRANSFER. If you have not received an email from Glyn Peris with deposit payment details and if you have not paid the deposit by cheque or bank transfer, your booking is NOT confirmed. LateRooms do not charge the deposit to your card. Outstanding balances are payable in advance by bank transfer or cash on arrival. Whether you are an individual or a small group, we can provide you with a qualified mountain guide to lead you to the summit of Mount Snowdon (3,560 feet). Llanberis has a good choice of places to eat, two of which are five minutes walk from Glyn Peris. There are many places of interest to visit in the area and Glyn Peris is a perfect base. Snowdon Mountain Railway - 5 minutes drive Slate Museum and Padarn Lake Railway - 5 minutes drive Caernarfon Castle - 15 minutes drive Newborough Beach (stunning beach walk on Anglesey with views of Snowdonia and Llyn Peninsula) - 20 minutes drive Penrhyn Castle (National Trust) - 15 minutes drive Aber Falls (spectacular 130 ft waterfall - half hour level walk) - 25 minutes drive Conway Castle - 35 minutes drive Beau Maris (Anglesey) - 35 minutes drive Portmeirion (location of the 60's tv series "The Prisoner" and home to the famous pottery - 45 minutes drive BANK HOLIDAYS: Please note there is a £5.00 PER PERSON SUPPLEMENT for single night bookings over Bank Holiday weekends and the Snowdon Marathon weekend in October. Single night bookings for these dates can only be taken 5 days ahead of arrival date. Regretfully, we feel that Glyn Peris is not suitable for children under the age of eight.

Directions by road From the A55 Turn off at junction 11, sign posted for Bangor and Llanberis. Turn left at the roundabout at the top of the slip road onto the A5 and immediately get into the right hand lane to then turn right at the next roundabout onto the B4366, signposted for Llanberis. Follow this road for approx 3 miles and turn left at the roundabout onto the B4547, signposted for Llanberis. Stay on this road, again for about 3 miles and turn left at the T-junction onto the A4086.The road is quite bendy so take care. You will see Lake Padarn on your left. After a few bends you will pass a cluster of cottages on your right, and then the Lake View Hotel. Glyn Peris is just around the next bend to the right and the parking area is just past the house. From the A5 At Capel Curig turn left off the A5 onto the A4086 signposted for Caernarfon and Porthmadog. Stay on this road for 4.5 miles, turning right at the Pen Y Gwryg pub to start climbing up into the spectacular Llanberis Pass and on to the villages of Nant Peris and Pentre Castell. Once past Llanberis itself, passing Electric Mountain on your right and keeping the lake on your right, the road starts to climb and bend. Keep going past the Kent Centre on your right and we are a short distance further along on the left. The parking area is before the house on the left. Travelling by train Catch the train to Bangor station which is on the main line between Chester and Holyhead. Travelling by bus Catch the number 85 bus from Bangor station or the C5 and change at Caernarfon for the number 88. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Ask to get off at the Lake View Hotel and walk around the corner to see us on the opposite side of the road.
