Wimbledon tennis championship includes several tournaments simultaneously.
There are five main elimination tournaments held at Wimbledon:
- Gentlemen's Singles (128 draw)
- Ladies' Singles (128 draw)
- Gentlemen's Doubles (64 draw)
- Ladies' Doubles (64 draw)
- Mixed Doubles (48 draw)
There are four tournaments held for juniors:
- Boys' Singles (64 draw)
- Boys' Doubles (32 draw)
- Girls' Singles (64 draw)
- Girls' Doubles (32 draw)
There are four additional events:
- 35 and Over Gentlemen's Invitation Doubles (16 pairs Round Robin)
- 45 and Over Gentlemen's Invitation Doubles (16 draw tournament)
- 35 and Over Ladies' Invitation Doubles (8 pairs Round Robin)
- Gentlemen's Wheelchair Doubles (4 draw tournament)
During the first week the early rounds of the five main elimination tournaments are played on all the courts. Generally the top seeds play on the main "show" courts. The other events, Veterans' and Juniors' start on the middle Saturday.
