Nottingham Riverside Festival
Nottingham is home to the marvelous Riverside Festival which is staged on the Victoria Embankment.
The tuneful World and Roots music encompasses Bulkan beats, Afrikan funk and blues and the traditional brass band. Children and families can keep themselves pleasantly busy for the full duration of the event with Art Zone, where there will be lots of arts and craft activities. Dance enthusiasts can fulfill themselves by getting enrolled in the Performance Tent, a salsa and dance workshop. Street Theatre and Street Animation sites provide a comic side to the entertainment, whilst Old Tyme Gallopers, Traction & Steam Engines and Old Tyme Organs bring back fond memories. No festival is complete without the food and craft stalls. The Riverside Festival presents its share of ware through the global crafts and food stalls. Another prominent feature of the festival is the stunning fireworks display.
