The fifteen colourful oil paintings, and boxes containing contemporary artefacts to aid reflection for visitors, create a poignant sequence about Good Friday. These meditations will take place immediately following evening prayer at 5.30pm, and all are welcome to attend. The Dean says: 'Sara's meditative pictures of the suffering of Christ will help many people to enter more deeply into the story of Good Friday and Easter'. The Reverend Dr. Mark Dorsett commented, "However familiar you are with the story of Christ's suffering, the vibrant beauty of these images will draw you in afresh and lead you to renewed reflection and deeper awareness. Taken as whole they represent a profound spiritual resource and a perfect reminder of the value of art in our search for meaning" Sara studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing, Oxford University, and at the Royal College of Art in London, and when not painting works in the Cathedral's Education Department.
