M25 can be used if one is entering Eastbourne from the North and East. A22 connects the city to London and the alternative approach from London and the M25 is the M23/A23 and onto the A27, which is also the main route from the West, by-passing Brighton. A259 can be used to travel from the Channel Ports.
Eastbourne Buses offer transport services to all parts of the town and surrounding areas. There is an access to Brighton, Battle, Hailsham, Hastings and Tunbridge Wells several times a day. Folkstone via Hastings is connected to Eastbourne by the Southern Stagecoach. The Cuckmere bus, Hastings buses, Brighton buses and Maidstone and District are the operators of the surrounding areas which operate bus services into the town. National Express coaches are available for travel to London.
