Dorchester Directions

The town is situated at the junction of the A35 and A37 roads. A35 rings the town from south side. The town is linked to Poole and Bournemouth via A35.

Weymouth in the south is accessible from the town via A354. Also, A352 and A353 connect Dorchester to the coast in the east and the south respectively.

The main local bus operators in and around the town are Sureline, Nordcat of Sturminster Newton and First Hampshire and Dorset. Weymouth Ferry Port lies about 8.4 miles to the south of Dorchester. The weekly ferry crossings to Guernsey, Jersey and St Malo are offered with Condor Ferries. Poole ferry, which is about 29 miles away, offers weekly ferry crossings to Cherbourg with Brittany Ferries and St Malo, Guernsey and Jersey with Condor Ferries.
