Manchester lies about 7 miles west of Ashton-Under-Lyne accessible via A365, Oldham about 4 miles north north-west via A627 and Stockport about 7.5 miles to south south-west via M60. M60, passing on the left, gives Ashton a better connectivity to Greater Manchester.
