Two miles away is the attractive village of Lochinver - the 'capital' of Assynt. Here is everything you need - the nearest grocery store, butcher, greengrocer,hotels, restaurants, pubs, post office, health centre, tourist office, petrol station and craft shops.
The remote North West of Sutherland is a breathtaking area of rugged mountain scenery, sheltered exquisite beaches of pale clean sands rolling seas dotted with rocky islets, hidden lochans with trout and a wealth of wildlife - perfect for walking and sightseeing. Loch fishing with the use of boats is available locally at a very reasonable cost.
We encourage wildlife into the garden and there are many species of birds that can be spotted. In addition deer, foxes, pinemartens and even otters are regular visitors.
