Holmelea sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. but we do offer a discount for 2 people sleeping in 1 bedroom for weekly bookings and discounts for up to 2 and up to 4 people on short breakes.
Entrance to this cottage is via the conservatory at the rear of the cottage on this level is a twin bedroom (bedroom 3) and a cloak room the lounge and kitchen is down half a flight of stairs, main bedroom, house bathroom and bedroom 2 is up half a flight of stairs from the conservatory level. The kitchen/dining room is fully-fitted with dishwasher, washer/dryer, and fridge/freezer, electric hob, oven and TV. The lounge has a simulated wood burning electric stove, TV with Freesat, DVD player and Hi-Fi. A large Conservatory with 2 settees Outside the conservatory is an area with a table and chairs an ideal place to have breakfast or a barbeque (bring your own barbeque). Master Bedroom with four poster king size bed and en-suite shower room, second bedroom with twin beds also can make 1 super king, the third bedroom has twin beds again they can be linked to make 1 super king, all bedrooms have TVs. The bathroom has bath with separate shower.
Commanding unrivalled panoramic views, Middlesmoor a small village is situated at the head of the Nidderdale valley, the 53 mile Nidderdale way can be walked from the doorstep, the national trust properties fountains abbey and Studley deer park, Brimham Rocks with its acres of stunning rock formations are close by. Visit the local visitor attractions of stump cross caverns, Howstean gorge, with its spectacular 70ft deep limestone gorge and excellent restaurant. Lightwater valley theme park, black sheep brewery and visitor centre, Brymor real dairy ice cream, Thorp Perrow arboretum, horse riding and excellent restaurants and cafes at nearby Pateley bridge all within 15 miles of the cottage.
The cottage is an excellent base for touring the Yorkshire dales, the Spa town of Harrogate and Bettys tea room, Ripon with its market place and town crier who blows his horn 9pm every night, Grassington very popular visitor centre, Skipton with lots of shops and market stalls in the high street.
Our cottage is in an area of outstanding natural beauty (ONB) in the Yorkshire Dales an ideal area for walking and touring. There are many circular walks from the cottage the Nidderdale Way passes the door step this can be walked in stages taking in the spectacular scenery and views of the Dale. If walking is not for you touring the Yorkshire Dales by car, were you can compare the characteristics of the different dales. Dry Stone walls, Limestone Crags, farmers barns often one per field, Stone Cottages and converted barns in small villages, village life as it has been for years all these features form the Yorkshire Dales.
