Friar's Cottage
Friar's Cottage, Keswick, is in an ideal location for exploring the spectacular scenery of the northern Lake District, with some of the best walks in the district to be found around Derwewater, Borrowdale and the easily accessible Northern Fells.
Our cottage provides accommodation for up to 4 people and has full gas central heating and an electric coal effect fire in the lounge and wi-fi broadband.
The lounge/diner has a leather suite and is equipped with a widescreen LCD TV, DVD player, Sky Freesat, an IPod docking station/CD player/radio and free wi-fi. There is a selection of films, books and maps of the area to enjoy at your leisure. The stylish dining table seats up to 6.
The kitchen is very well equipped with a ceramic hob, electric oven and microwave. We have a separate utility room that has a dishwasher, washer/dryer and freezer. There is also a separate WC.
Upstairs there is a double and a twin bedroom, as well as the bathroom. Both bedrooms have attractive iron bed-steads and good quality pine furniture, a travel cot is available if required.
Outside there is a small paved garden area, complete with patio furniture and a barbecue.

Our Cottage is only 5 mins level walk from the town centre of Keswick which is the main town in the northern Lake District and is located on the shores of Derwentwater, at the foot of Skiddaw, one of the Lake District’s 3000ft mountains. Keswick has a host of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a cinema and a theatre by the lake-side. There are regular boat trips to be enjoyed on and around Derwentwater.
