Our cottages are set on the slopes of an ancient wooded valley in landscaped gardens within five acres of lovely grounds including an ancient woodland, paddocks and orchard. There is an ancient woodland trail, with seating for guests to enjoy. The paddock is where guests are free to play games, picnic, or just relax in. Guests also have exclusive use of a private fishing lake just five minutes walk from here.
Yapham enjoys complete tranquillity set down our private half mile drive, yet it is perfect for visiting nearby tourist attractions, The Eden Project, Exmoor and Dartmoor.
The Hartland Peninsula is in an area of outstanding natural beauty with breath-taking coastal scenery, wonderful cliff top walks and beautiful secluded beaches. Walk the two-mile farm trail which adjoins our property or walk the nearby South West Coast Path. You are spoilt for choice for walking in the area as the peninsula has 12 miles of spectacular coastline, as well as many waterfalls and woodlands bedecked with bluebells in the Spring.
You are sure of a very warm welcome and on arrival will find a delicious cream tea in your cottage plus many other personal touches to make your stay with us truly memorable.
The largest of our three cottages, Shipload offers split-level accommodation with wonderful views across the valley. The living room has an open-truss ceiling and a balustrade that overlooks the beautiful fully fitted new bespoke kitchen. There are two bedrooms - one double and one twin with en-suite. The kitchen and twin bedroom plus en-suite are on the lower level. The lounge, double bedroom and bathroom are on the upper level.
I can also provide a travel cot and high chair. Please ask for their availability when booking.
A shared utility room is available for guests. It has a washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer.
This cottage is dog friendly. Note that terms and conditions apply for dogs.
There are a small number of steps (with handrails) leading from the parking area to the cottages.
