The house is located along Fosseway halfway between Moreton in Marsh (with the very popular weekly market on a Tuesday) and Shipston-on-Stour. Just ten miles north to Stratford-upon-Avon for the RSC and all the Shakespearean history you can soak in. Stow-on-the-Wold is the Cotswold s major antiques centre so if you re looking for a quirky bargain this is the place to reach. Two public footpaths lead directly from the house; a 15-minute walk across fields to Stretton-on-Fosse and its well-regarded village pub or if a longer walk is on the cards try the trail to Todenham and another excellent village pub. This tastefully decorated rustic and rambling farmhouse is the ideal venue for large groups or extended families. On arrival you will find a useful entrance hall and there are two sitting rooms one of which doubles as a telly room with a TV/DVD and video. Both rooms have wood burners and character fireplaces one of which has a daybed (please book clean linen when booking). The huge beamed traditional farmhouse kitchen is very central to the ambience of the house with seating for at least 14 people; great for entertaining or simply relaxing while someone oversees the cooking! Experience cooking on an Aga-style oven (with an electric oven and hob as a back-up). The kitchen is also equipped with a washing machine a microwave a dishwasher fridge and freezer. There is also a double bedroom on this floor with an en-suite featuring shower over bath and WC. The first floor offers two spacious bedrooms each with king-size beds and one of which has an extra single bed. Both rooms have access to a Jack and Jill bathroom with shower over bath and WC. On the top floor is a further bedroom containing a king-size bed and a daybed. Nearby are two twin bedrooms and bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Outside the house is a lovely enclosed courtyard with wisteria plants a charcoal BBQ and garden furniture. There is also a small enclosed garden area of lawn for the kids (that can be closed off from the courtyard). The front yard has enough room to park up to six cars (with high double gates). There is also a decked area with an arbor and garden furniture.
