Kenneggy Barn
A Cornish small barn set in a large natural garden. Easy to get to on the Penzance to Helston road it is set in farmland, private but only a few minutes from the sea.
There is no additional charge for gas, electricity or towels and bedding. Beds are made up for your arrival. All you have to do is unpack and enjoy the welcome tray.
Praa Sands is three minutes away by car, Newtown and Ashton are close by and there is a garage with shop and a pub even closer.
The beach cafe at Praa Sands (The Beachcomber) is unusual in offering home cooked food. it is great for all meals and even does a takeaway cooked breakfast! The well established beach shop (stonesreef) offers everything needed for the beach including the latest wet suits, good advice and surf lessons.
The barn has plenty of off road parking, patio with furniture and BBQ. It is big enough for playing games. There are grassed, garden areas and a large deep pond with frogs, newts and fish. The sea at Praa Sands a mile away can sometimes be seen from the garden area.
Dating from around the 1700s and steeped in history the barn has its lounge/dining area on the first floor. there is full central heating and an electric coal effect fire in the lounge. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor with the main bedroom featuring a four poster bed and its own entrance to the lit, patio area. The second bedroom has twin beds and wall mounted TV . The bathroom has a shower over the bath.
The garden is a natural garden and we have seen lots of wildlife including foxes, frogs and badgers. There is sometimes an owl.
