Situated in the Northumberland National Park, this beautifully converted barn is surrounded by stunning scenery including views of Hadrian’s Wall. Each of the three bedrooms has its own en suite, making this an ideal base for a family holiday. Located on a working farm, the cottage is just half a mile from Hadrian’s Wall, which was built by the Romans in 122AD, is now a World Heritage Site and is ideal for walkers and visitors alike. Within 2.5 miles is Housesteads, the best preserved fort on the wall with spectacular views and the classic fort of Vindolanda, renowned as one of Europe’s most important archaeological sites which allows the opportunity for visitors to explore Roman life on the edge of the empire. Shop 5 miles, pub serving food 700 yards.
