Set in the sprawling grounds of a local farm, Willow Cottage is a traditional single floor cottage with plenty of space and a history that sets it apart. The cottage may have started out as a cart shed, but these days it makes a beautiful home from home for up to four guests (there is a sofa bed available for an extra two small adults at a supplement). The cottage still has many of its original features, so it’s perfect for those of you who like to stay in a property with a unique character and a history that’s visible throughout. Open stone walls add to its charm, and the full length windows look out onto the private patio below. Thanks to the cottage’s setting in extensive grounds, you can step outside and pick up one of the many nature trails, sink into the onsite hot tub or just sit back and watch the children enjoy the playing field. There’s even a fully stocked games room. Nearby there are great opportunities for walkers and cyclists (bikes are available to use or there is a secure lock up for your own) within the peace and tranquillity of Harwood Dale. However, only 20 minute or so drive away is the busy fishing port of Whitby and the sands of Robin Hood’s Bay.
