Really lovely and unique detached Barn Conversion, with a stylish, comfortable interior.
Located in a quiet rural village, on its own land (not in a holiday complex). The cottage has a very private aspect, with views over meadow.
Converted to the highest spec, using 'Green' Technology ( ground source heat pump). The cottage is 'toasty warm' with triple glazing & underfloor heating throughout.
Spacious, light and airy inside.Valentine Cottage has been restored to retain its original features, in a modern setting. Cleaned to a high standard and pet free. The cottage sleeps up to 6 people (+baby) maximum.
The cottage is all on ground level (1 step).
3 double, cottage size, bedrooms, divided by original, thick barn walls.
Master bedroom has a luxurious king size bed & en suite bathroom. 2 further bedrooms, have 6 ft and 5 ft wide zip & link beds (can be divided, on request).All bedrooms have wardrobes & drawers.
2 lovely bathrooms with good showers & heated towel rails. En-suite has a large shower cubicle. Family bathroom has a large bath & shower over.
Lovely sitting room has floor to ceiling windows & views over countryside. Seating for 6. TV, DVD, WiFi, books, games etc. to enjoy.
Wonderful, large dining kitchen with Shaker style cupboards, bespoke breakfast larder, solid oak worktops, peninsula unit and a TV for the chef! American Fridge with ice-maker, double oven Range Cooker, Dishwasher,integrated microwave and a quiet Washer/Dryer.
Dining table for 6, comfy dining chairs and a pew! Doors open to the courtyard and lawn.
Enclosed courtyard with lighting, garden furniture and barbecue. Through the gate from the courtyard, is a large enclosed lawn, ideal for picnics and ball games.
Fuel, Linen and a welcome tea tray, and many household basics are provided. Ample car parking on the driveway behind the cottage.
Lots places to walk and cycle locally, just step outside and explore! Including the owners 30 acres of private wildflower meadow and woodland nearby.
The nearby, picturesque Roman City of Lincoln has a wonderful Cathedral, Castle with the Magna Carta and Victorian prison. Waterfront, Museums & Galleries, cobbled streets,independent shops and restaurants, you will find lots to do! Steep Hill was voted Britain's best Street & Lincoln was one of The Sunday Times top 10 towns.
The Lincolnshire Wolds has pretty villages and market towns. Drive to the coast and enjoy miles of deserted beaches or seaside resorts.Lots of Historic Houses. Lincolnshire is great for antique hunting in Horncastle, Newark & Hemswell.
Lincolnshire has a wonderful Aviation history with many airfields & museums.Lots of things to see which you will not find anywhere else! BBMF RAF Conningsby, home to Britain's only airworthy Lancaster. RAF Scampton airshow September 2017.
